Would you wear a colored wedding dress?

I’ve been thinking lately about color…and that if I could do it over again (to the same man, of course!) I just might wear a blush pink gown instead of ivory. And the truth is that I’m pretty traditional type of girl, so this surprises me.
In the last few years many designers have sprinkled their collections with a dress or two in full color. I never really grabbed onto it, until now. The more I think about it, there is something that I love in the idea of breaking with the tradition of white; of selecting a shade that really flatters your complexion; of looking different than most brides.
The gown featured above was one of my favorites from the April collections. It’s by Melissa Sweet and is made out of silk satin in the palest shade of green. It’s absolutely stunning and shimmered as she walked down the runway. I used it in a photo shoot I recently did, and it looked gorgeous. I’ve come to the conclusion that the ivory dress does not make the bride a bride. Sometimes a little color can be just the right thing.
What do you think about wearing a colored wedding dress? Have you already purchased one? Tell me your thoughts on the topic.
Best,
Julie

I wore a blush gazar and organza gown and loved it. In some pictures it looks ivory, but it had just enough color to be different!
I wore a bright pink wedding dress and I loved it and how I looked in it!
I think the idea or concept of a color gown depends on the bride herself. I would have loved to wear a baby blue or baby pink gown on my wedding day. Being a Muslim my outfir was a stunning red & black Eastern outfit with heavy beadwork and it looked stunning. If I could do this all over again i would still go for color instead of the tradional white or ivory.
I am dead set on wearing a wedding dress in my favorite color - dark green (olive or hunter depending on your definition). Or at least white with a good deal of green somehow involved. But, that is proving to be difficult. I keep finding myself looking at prom dresses.
I just got a champagne color dress; Palamo Balanca and i think the color will look stunning if I am able to keep a nice tan for an august wedding...
I am getting married in October and decided I wanted to wear a red dress. I might as well have said I wanted to fly to the moon on a rocket when I mentioned it to a few friends.
http://redhotbrides.com gave me a lot of ideas on red dresses. I thought I throw that out there if anyone else was thinking of a red wedding dress
I'm searching desperately for a red wedding dress. I've found one I fell in love with that all the beadwork, embroidery, and netting underneath the beadwork would still be white, so that was out. I fell in love with another one in taffeta that I can only get in red if I change the fabric to satin, which might change the whole flow of the skirt, so that one's iffy. And just today I found one that I like and can get in red taffeta, but I'm not completely in love with it.
